The Solar PV Generator Danger Contains Live Parts During Daylight Sign is designed to clearly warn that a solar photovoltaic generator contains live electrical parts whenever it is exposed to daylight. Featuring a bold danger message and highly visible design, this sign alerts electricians, maintenance engineers, contractors and emergency responders to the presence of hazardous DC voltages that remain energised while the photovoltaic array is generating electricity.

Suitable for domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural and public sector solar installations, this sign should be positioned adjacent to photovoltaic generators, inverter systems, DC isolators, electrical enclosures, plant rooms and associated solar PV equipment. It provides a clear visual warning wherever personnel may come into contact with photovoltaic electrical systems.

Unlike conventional electrical installations, solar PV generators continue to produce direct current whenever daylight reaches the photovoltaic panels. This means hazardous voltages may still be present even after the AC supply has been isolated, creating a potential risk of electric shock during inspection, servicing or emergency response. Clearly displayed warning signage helps ensure personnel recognise this hazard, follow approved isolation procedures and use safe working practices before carrying out any work on the installation.

The Solar PV Generator Danger Contains Live Parts During Daylight Sign supports the safe operation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems by clearly identifying equipment that remains live during daylight hours. It assists solar installers, electricians, facilities managers, maintenance engineers and health and safety professionals in supporting compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations and recognised guidance for photovoltaic installations where applicable.

Manufactured from durable, high quality materials with excellent visibility, the Solar PV Generator Danger Contains Live Parts During Daylight Sign is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It provides a long lasting and professional solution for identifying hazardous photovoltaic equipment, helping improve electrical safety, reduce the risk of electric shock and support safe maintenance and emergency response for solar PV installations.
